Sonablock for Large Projects: Pallet Quantities, B2B Pricing and What Specifiers Need to Know

Sonablock wood wool acoustic panels are at their best at scale. A single feature wall benefits from them; a school corridor, open-plan office or sports hall is transformed. This guide is written for the people planning those larger installations (architects, contractors, acoustic consultants and facility owners) and covers the practical questions that come up when Sonablock moves from a sample to a specification.

What Sonablock is

Sonablock panels are wood wool cement boards (WWCB): spruce wood wool mineralised and bonded with cement, produced in Latvia. The open fibre structure absorbs sound while the cement binding gives the panels rigidity, impact resistance and a B-s1,d0 fire classification under EN 13501-1:2018, suitable for public and commercial buildings where reaction-to-fire requirements apply. The material contains no synthetic fibres and no formaldehyde additives.

Thicknesses, fibres and finishes

The range covers two thicknesses and three fibre widths: 25mm panels in 1.0mm, 1.5mm and 2.0mm fibre, and 15mm panels in 1.0mm and 1.5mm fibre. Finer fibre gives a smoother, more uniform surface; wider fibre gives a more pronounced natural texture. All variants are available in natural wood-cement tone or factory-painted in White RAL 9010, Light Grey RAL 7035, Dark Grey RAL 7004 and Black RAL 9011.

Pallet logistics

Sonablock ships palletised from Latvia across continental Europe:

  • One pallet of 25mm panels ≈ 30.96 m² of coverage
  • One pallet of 15mm panels ≈ 50.4 m² of coverage
  • Minimum order: one pallet (orders below one pallet carry a €255 handling surcharge)
  • Free shipping from approximately two pallets (680 kg+) to all served zones, including Norway, Switzerland and the UK
  • Delivery 5 to 8 business days

For a quick quantity estimate, the Sonablock project calculator on our site converts wall and ceiling dimensions directly into panel counts, pallets and pricing.

Where Sonablock performs best

Wood wool cement board is the default acoustic finish in Nordic schools, kindergartens, sports halls and public corridors for good reasons: strong mid-frequency absorption where speech intelligibility lives, a surface that tolerates impacts and cleaning, fire behaviour that satisfies public-building codes, and a natural appearance that ages well. The same properties suit open-plan offices, restaurants, workshops, studios and residential ceilings.

B2B and project pricing

We actively welcome large requests and trade cooperation. Webshop prices apply to standard pallet quantities; for multi-pallet projects, recurring trade volumes, distribution or specification across multiple sites, we are ready to discuss project pricing directly. Send dimensions or a bill of quantities through the quote form and we respond with a concrete offer, including delivery scheduling for phased construction projects.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a discount for ordering multiple pallets?

Orders of roughly two pallets and above already ship free. Beyond that, volume pricing for large projects is handled individually. Contact us with quantities and destination and we will quote project terms.

Can Sonablock be mounted on ceilings?

Yes. Both 25mm and 15mm panels are used on ceilings as well as walls; ceiling installations are one of the most common commercial applications for wood wool board.

Which thickness should a project specify?

25mm is the standard acoustic choice and delivers deeper absorption. 15mm suits budget-driven or appearance-led installations and covers more area per pallet (50.4 m² vs 30.96 m²).

Do painted variants have a minimum order?

All variants, natural and all painted colours, share the same rule: minimum one pallet, with a €255 surcharge for smaller orders.

What fire documentation is available?

Sonablock carries B-s1,d0 classification under EN 13501-1:2018. Classification documentation for specification files is available on request.

Do you deliver outside continental Europe?

Standard checkout covers continental Europe plus Norway, Switzerland and the UK. For other destinations, contact us; export arrangements for full-pallet B2B orders can be discussed case by case.

Can you support phased deliveries for construction schedules?

Yes. For project orders we can split delivery across construction phases. Mention scheduling needs in your quote request.
