What Are Large Format PET Felt Sheets?
PET felt sheets are rigid acoustic boards manufactured from high-density recycled PET fibres — the same material used in GRS-certified felt-backed acoustic panels. The compression-moulded production process creates boards with excellent dimensional stability, consistent density and a fine, textile-like surface texture.
Unlike thin decorative felt tiles, large format PET sheets are engineered for structural and semi-structural applications: they hold fasteners, accept CNC machining and can be laminated, painted or heat-formed. Available in sizes up to 1220 × 3020 mm, they eliminate visible seams in large-scale installations.
Our sheets are produced from ≥ 60% post-consumer recycled PET, contributing to LEED, BREEAM and circular-economy project credits.

What is PET felt made from?
PET felt is manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibres — the same material used in plastic bottles. Our sheets use a minimum of 60% post-consumer recycled PET content and are certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), making them one of the most sustainable acoustic material choices available.
How do large format PET felt sheets differ from standard acoustic panels?
Standard acoustic felt panels (like our self-adhesive shapes) are pre-fabricated products with fixed sizes and designs. Large format sheets are raw board material — supplied as flat sheets that can be cut, machined and fabricated into any shape. They are the starting point for bespoke acoustic installations, custom furniture elements and architectural detailing.
What thickness should I choose?
For wall panels and decorative applications, 7–9 mm provides a lightweight solution with good acoustic absorption. For structural uses, furniture components or ceiling baffles, 12–18 mm offers greater rigidity and higher NRC values. We are happy to advise based on your specific project requirements.
Do you offer samples?
Yes. A4 colour samples and small material samples can be arranged before you place a full order. Contact us with your colour and thickness requirements and we will send samples directly to your studio or site.
What is the lead time and how is shipping handled?
Large format sheets are produced to order. We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) across Europe from our network of warehouses, ensuring no surprise import costs for EU-based customers.
Can PET felt sheets be used outdoors?
PET felt is primarily designed for interior use. While the material itself is moisture-resistant, prolonged UV exposure will cause colour fading. For covered exterior applications such as loggias or roofed terraces, please contact us to discuss suitability.
