Romanite - Cool Grey Roman Stone for Sophisticated Modern Spaces

Romanite is an MCM wall panel inspired by the cool, pale grey limestone and marble surfaces of classical Roman architecture. With its fine horizontal banding, soft grey-white tones, and refined linear texture, Romanite brings an understated elegance to facades and interiors - evoking the permanence and craftsmanship of ancient stonework in a lightweight, modern format.

Why specify Romanite?

  • Cool grey linear stone pattern inspired by Roman architectural stonework - refined and timeless
  • Available in multiple sizes up to 2900 x 1200mm for continuous, joint-minimised installations
  • MCM material resists weathering, UV fading, and frost - built for exterior facades and exposed interiors
  • Significantly lighter than natural limestone or marble - reduces structural load and installation time
  • Suitable for adhesive fixing to concrete, brick and different kinds of insulation

Ideal applications: building facades, public architecture, hotel lobbies, high-end residential exteriors, feature walls

Romanite gives your project the classical gravitas of Roman stone in a contemporary, buildable material.

Surface prep: Clean, dry, and structurally sound substrate required. Suitable for concrete, brick, plasterboard, and existing tile. No special primer needed for most surfaces.
2
Adhesive: Use standard flexible tile adhesive (C2TEs1 class or equivalent). Apply with notched trowel, 4-6 mm depth. Full coverage recommended for exterior use.
3
Layout: Plan sheet alignment before applying adhesive. MCM panels can be cut with standard tile cutter, angle grinder, or sharp knife for thin sections.

Grouting: Grout joints 3+ mm recommended. Use flexible, frost-resistant grout for exterior applications. Colour-match to panel for seamless result.
5
Finishing: No sealing required in interior applications. For high-traffic and outside areas, optional hydrophobic coating can be applied after 48h curing.
