Certifications & standards
All documents are downloadable below.
Fire classification
Class B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 — low smoke, no flaming droplets. Independently classified (report K25/2026). Suitable for escape routes and public buildings. Class A1 variant in development.
Acoustic performance
Independently tested to EN ISO 354 / ISO 11654 by RISE (Sweden). Measured weighted absorption depends on fibre size and mounting depth — see the acoustic test report for exact values; datasheets cite up to αw 0.85.
Environmental (EPD)
Environmental Product Declarations EPD-IES-0031288 and EPD-IES-0031289. Mineral-bonded, zero VOC off-gassing, no formaldehyde binders.
Timber sourcing (PEFC)
PEFC chain-of-custody BMCERT-PEFC-COC-00175 (valid to Feb 2028). Spruce wood wool from PEFC/FSC certified forests.
CE marking & DoP
CE marked construction product with a Declaration of Performance. Complies with EN 13168 and EN 13964. Made in the EU.

Specifier FAQ
Does Sonablock have an EPD?
Yes. Sonablock is covered by Environmental Product Declarations EPD-IES-0031288 and EPD-IES-0031289, downloadable above.
What is the fire rating?
Sonablock is classified Class B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 (low smoke, no flaming droplets) in classification report K25/2026, suitable for escape routes and public buildings. A Class A1 variant is in development.
What acoustic data is available?
Sound absorption was independently tested by RISE (Sweden) to EN ISO 354 / ISO 11654. Measured weighted absorption depends on fibre size and mounting depth — download the acoustic test report above for exact values.
Do you provide BIM objects or CAD details?
Yes, on request for specification projects. Tell us your software (Revit, ArchiCAD and similar) and we will provide the appropriate files.
Is the timber responsibly sourced?
Yes. The spruce wood wool comes from PEFC/FSC-certified forests under chain-of-custody certificate BMCERT-PEFC-COC-00175, valid to February 2028.
