Our Sapelli Wood Slat Acoustic Panel is a premium choice for high-end hospitality, luxury retail and residential spaces where uniqueness is the priority. Panel sizes: 600 to 2980 mm length, 300 or 600 mm width. GRS-certified recycled polyester felt backing (7 mm or 9 mm), black or grey. MDF slats 12 mm thick, 27 mm wide. The ribbon-like grain is at its most striking under raking light - a spotlight or wall washer set at an angle will bring out the shifting stripe pattern far more than flat overhead lighting, so it's worth planning the lighting scheme around the panel rather than treating it as an afterthought. Sapelli's reddish-brown undertone pairs well with brass, warm leather and deep jewel-toned upholstery, and it's distinctive enough to work as a single statement wall without needing a busy surrounding palette - in fact it usually looks better against a simple, neutral backdrop that lets the grain do the talking. Because the grain varies naturally from panel to panel, it's worth ordering slightly more than the minimum coverage for larger walls so panels can be arranged for the best visual flow across joins.
