Our Smoked Oak Barcode Wood Slat Panel combines the deep charcoal tones of smoked oak veneer with a mixed-width arrangement on black felt, a near-monochromatic wall finish with incredible depth and texture. The go-to choice for bars, hospitality venues and bold residential feature walls.
Panel sizes: 600 to 2980 mm length, 300 or 600 mm width. GRS-certified recycled polyester felt backing (7 mm or 9 mm), black or grey. MDF slats 12 mm thick, 27 mm wide. Custom sizes available, contact us for a response within 12 hours.
With smoked oak's charcoal tone sitting so close to the black felt, the barcode's varying slat widths create depth through texture and shadow rather than colour contrast - the wall reads almost as a single dark surface until directional light picks out the pattern, which is exactly the moody, layered effect most bars and evening venues are after. It pairs with black steel, aged brass and dark upholstery in the same way as the standard Smoked Oak finish, and benefits from at least one lighter surface nearby - a pale floor, ceiling or bar top - to keep the space from feeling too enclosed.
The PET felt backing is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified — made from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. Using recycled felt instead of virgin materials significantly reduces embodied carbon compared to conventional acoustic products.
