100% birch plywood with smooth dark-brown phenolic film on both faces from the Stiga RM mill in Kuldīga, Latvia. The film gives a hard, water-repellent, easy-to-clean surface that releases cleanly from concrete and resists wear. Cross-bonded 1.5 mm birch veneers, phenolic (WBP) glue, formaldehyde class E1, produced to EN 636-3S for exterior and humid conditions, edges sealed with water-resistant paint.

What the grade means

F/F means smooth film on both faces. Standard film grade F1 allows minor film stains on up to 15% of the surface, small matte areas and no delamination; lower F2 grade is available for rough work on request. Film weight 120 g/m² as standard, 220 g/m² on request for more reuses.

Typical uses

Concrete formwork and shuttering systems, scaffolding decks, transport and trailer linings, construction site platforms, workshop benches and any surface that must stand up to water, concrete and repeated use.

Grain direction. Stiga RM sheets are cross grain: the face veneer grain runs parallel to the 1250 mm edge, the standard format for Baltic birch plywood. Long-grain sheets, with the face grain along the 2500 mm edge and usually written 2500 × 1250 mm, are the other format on the market. Both have the same build-up and strength; what differs is the direction in which the sheet is stiffest, which is always along the face grain. Keep that in mind for formwork spans, shelving and flooring, for cutting plans and for the look of visible parts, and ask us at quotation if you are unsure which format your project needs.

Certifications

  • PEFC Chain of Custody (FSC Mix available on request, surcharge applies)
  • CE marking per EN 13986 and UKCA
  • CARB Phase 2 and EPA TSCA Title VI
  • E1 (EN 717-1)
  • Environmental Product Declaration for film-faced plywood · REACH compliant

Ordering

Prices shown are indicative, per sheet, EXW Latvia (ex works, transport not included) and apply to the minimum order of half a truck load: about 8 packs, roughly 18 m³ or 12.5 tonnes. The mill produces to order and holds no stock: production takes up to 3 weeks depending on season, plus transit. Mixing thicknesses and grades within one load is confirmed at quotation. We quote full truck loads across Europe and container loads worldwide, as well as other thicknesses, 220 g film, the 1220 × 2440 mm format or FSC-certified material: contact us for a project price. Larger volumes are priced lower. Outside the EU, including the Gulf states, the UK, Norway and Switzerland, we deliver worldwide by sea or air freight, quoted per order.
