Grooved wood wool cement board (WWCB) acoustic panels from the Sonablock Design range, also known as fibrolite, made from PEFC-certified Latvian spruce fibres bound with Portland cement. Sonablock Groove Line adds evenly spaced longitudinal grooves to the standard 25 mm / 1.0 mm fibre panel, giving a clean, continuous surface with a distinctive linear look and a Euroclass B-s1,d0 fire rating.
The grooves are designed for direct mounting with screws: panels are fixed through the groove bottoms to timber battens, metal CD profiles or a flat supporting surface, so the fixings sit below the face and the finished wall or ceiling reads as one continuous grooved plane. No separate clip or edge-trim system is required.
Manufactured by Stiga RM, a PEFC-certified Latvian producer. Same material, fire classification and documentation set as the standard Sonablock 25 mm panel.
Acoustic Performance
- Open-structure wood wool surface, 1.0 mm fine fibre, 25 mm thick
- Sonablock panels reach up to αw 0.85 depending on fibre width, thickness and installation depth (manufacturer datasheet); the standard 25 mm / 1.0 mm panel measures αw 0.60 at 200 mm overall depth (RISE report O100282)
