Wood wool acoustic panels for walls & ceilings
Mineral-bonded wood wool with outstanding acoustic absorption, zero off-gassing and Class B-s1,d0 fire rating. A single material that works hard in both demanding commercial and premium residential spaces.
Mineral-bonded wood wool. Serious acoustic performance.
Sonablock panels are made from long-strand wood wool fibres bound with Portland cement. The mineral matrix makes them dimensionally stable and completely free of VOCs. The open fibrous structure provides excellent mid and high-frequency sound absorption — reducing echo and reverberation in spaces where clarity matters.
Available in three fibre sizes (1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm) that affect both the visual texture and acoustic character, and in five colours — from natural cement grey to painted White, Light Grey, Dark Grey and Black.
Designed for walls and ceilings in commercial and public interiors: offices, schools, hospitality venues, sports facilities and high-end residential projects where both fire compliance and sound quality are non-negotiable.
Every panel is manufactured by Stiga RM at their production facility in Tukums, Latvia — one of Europe’s most modern wood wool cement board production lines. The facility uses AI-assisted quality control to inspect each board during production, ensuring consistent density, surface finish and dimensional accuracy across every batch.
The spruce wood wool is sourced from PEFC-certified forests, with full chain-of-custody certification (BMCERT-PEFC-COC-00175, valid to Feb 2028). Manufactured in the EU with a short, fully traceable supply chain — backed by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD-IES-0031288, valid to 2031).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mm fibre sizes?
Fibre size affects both the visual texture and acoustic performance. The 1.0 mm fibre gives a fine, even surface and slightly higher density — ideal for commercial spaces wanting a refined look. The 1.5 mm is the most popular all-rounder. The 2.0 mm has a coarser, more industrial texture and is often chosen for raw, loft-style interiors. Acoustic absorption differences are modest; mounting method and air gap have a greater impact.
Are these panels suitable for ceilings?
Yes — the 25 mm panels are regularly used for ceiling installations in commercial projects. Ceiling fixing requires mechanical fixings (screws or a clip rail system) in addition to adhesive due to the panel weight of approximately 11 kg/m². Always verify the ceiling substrate’s load capacity before installation.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order is 1 pallet, which covers approximately 31 m² (25 mm) or 50 m² (15 mm). Orders below 1 pallet may incur a handling surcharge. Use the Sonablock project calculator to estimate how many panels you need and whether your order reaches a full pallet.
Can the panels be painted?
Yes — all five standard colours are factory-applied. If you need a different RAL colour or want to refresh cut edges on site, the panels accept standard mineral-based masonry paints. Use a roller and apply two thin coats for even penetration into the fibrous surface. We do not recommend gloss or film-forming paints as they partially block the acoustic absorption.
Are these panels suitable for wet or humid areas?
The cement-bonded wood wool core has good moisture resistance and will not rot or swell, but is not designed for direct water contact. Suitable for kitchens, changing rooms and covered outdoor areas. Not recommended for direct shower splashzones or exterior facades exposed to rain without a protective overhang.
Can I get physical samples?
Yes — we recommend ordering samples before committing to a full pallet, especially if you are comparing fibre sizes or colours on site. Contact us with the fibre size and colour combination you are interested in and we will arrange sample delivery within 3–5 business days.
Can I buy Sonablock directly from the manufacturer, or through Wall Panels Pro?
Sonablock is made by Stiga RM in Tukums, Latvia. Wall Panels Pro is the direct distributor for online and project orders — standard sizes at transparent prices, the project calculator, samples, and fast palletised delivery, without the industrial quote process. Large or custom industrial runs we coordinate with the factory for you.
Where can I buy Sonablock — do you ship outside Latvia?
We ship Sonablock across the EU on pallets, with DDP delivery available, and worldwide by sea freight on request. Standard sizes are made to order; the minimum order is one pallet (≈31 m² at 25 mm or ≈50 m² at 15 mm).
Do you ship Sonablock by container (FCL / LCL)?
Yes. We arrange full-container (FCL) and shared-container (LCL) sea freight from the Baltics, plus EU road freight. We can supply EXW (Tukums, Latvia), FCA or DDP within the EU, with other Incoterms on request — tell us the destination and volume for a freight quote.
